La Navidad- Christmas (decoration vocabulary and craft)

By Natalie Castner · 2020-12-04
Christmas time is finally here! I have been so excited and planning these lessons for a few months now.

In this lesson we will learn a few Christmas words:

Árbol Navideño- Christmas tree

Calcetín de Navidad- Christmas stocking

Regalo- Present

Ornamento- Ornament

So excited to share a Christmas craft with you all! These origami Nochebuena (poinsettia) flower ornaments are a great addition to our tree this year. They are super easy to make and you probably have everything you need already!Lesson resourceLesson resourceLesson resourceLesson resourceSkip to minute 2:38 in the video if you want to skip to the craft tutorial! This craft is so special to me because Nochebuenas (poinsettias) were always present at Christmas in Mexico. We had neighbors who grew them in their little yard up the street. They grow in 65-75 degree weather which happens to be Mexico City's average temp almost all year long! Man, I miss me a warm Christmas!Drop your email if you would like to receive free resources for your Spanish learning journey!
