Learn from the person who wrote the curriculum.

A handful of families each term get Natalie herself: native Mexico City Spanish, degrees in Spanish and Linguistics, fifteen years of teaching. Spots are few, because she also writes everything on this site.

Miss Natie, the teacher in all 29 pronunciation videos
Not marketplace tutoringConversation apps rent you a native speaker. This is a credentialed language teacher with a linguistics degree who wrote a two-year published curriculum, and builds your child's lessons out of it.
The lesson feeds the planEvery private student works inside the Mamá Chilanga scope and sequence, so lessons, workbooks and videos all point the same direction. No marketplace tutor can bundle that.
Small on purposeNatalie takes a limited number of students per term. Writing curriculum is the main job, and that's why these spots are priced like the specialist's time they are.

Private Spanish lessons with Natalie

Online, live, and built around your child. For comparison: credentialed native teachers on the big platforms run $20–60/hour, and none of them wrote the book your child is learning from.

Questions

Practical details

How do lessons happen?
Live video call, on Zoom or Google Meet, whichever suits your family. Lessons follow the Mamá Chilanga scope and sequence, so your child's private hour and their workbook point in the same direction.
Why is availability limited?
Because teaching isn't Natalie's only job — she writes and maintains the curriculum. A small student roster keeps lesson quality high and the books getting written. If a term is full, the enquiry form puts you first in line for the next one.
Do we need the curriculum to take lessons?
No, but it helps, and the Semester Track simply includes it. Lesson-only students get relevant pages as homework.
What ages do you teach?
Most private students are 5–14. Adults are welcome too (the Language Journal crowd). Just say so on the form.
What's your cancellation policy?
24 hours' notice reschedules a lesson free. Packs are valid for 6 months from purchase.
